ઘરમાં પધારશે લક્ષ્મી રૂપે, વહુ નહીં પણ દીકરી,
આશિષ દેજો આપ સૌ, રહે જોડી સદા હસતી. The shehnai plays in our courtyard; our hearts overflow.
At our son’s mandap, a song of joy rises.
Lakshmi enters our home – not a daughter-in-law, but a daughter.
Bless them, that they may always smile together.
